Ab Gietelink

Ab Gietelink (born January 26, 1959) is a Dutch author, journalist, theater director, actor, and producer. He studied Law and Philosophy at the University of Amsterdam before focusing on theater. In 1984, he founded the Stichting Nomade to explore experimental theater forms. His work is characterized by a documentary style and current political engagement. Since 1997, Gietelink, in collaboration with partner organizations, has realized hundreds of historical theater performances in special locations in the Netherlands. He is often responsible for text, direction, stage design, a leading role, and production in the theater projects. In addition, he wrote columns, articles, and books. He has contributed to 37 productions, working in various functions including writing, directing, producing, and acting. He also has a production company called Theater Nomade.
