SO Noorderlicht

SO Noorderlicht offers special education to students aged 4 to 13 years old. They prepare for secondary (special) education. They want to make sure that students feel at home in the classroom so that a safe base can be created. Students experience serious difficulties within the education, as a result of a psychiatric problem, often combined with learning problems. Some students have a mild intellectual disability. SO Noorderlicht is part of Biezonderwijs. Biezonderwijs has 9 schools for students aged 4 to 20 years. Approximately 600 colleagues are committed to education and guidance for more than 1900 students at our schools. Our schools all have a special character. We offer special education (SO), special primary education (SBO), continuing special education (VSO) and Practical education. In addition, our own expertise center De Kracht supports educational staff and students with the help of training, coaching, guidance and advice. They also conduct research and diagnostics for children with learning and developmental problems.
