Taste Trail

Tasman's Great Taste Trail is a year-round cycling route that offers a mix of rural, urban, coastal and riverside scenery and a variety of attractions, from fruit stalls and cafes to craft beer pubs and winery restaurants. The trail is a 200km loop around the Nelson-Tasman region. The trail caters for a wide range of cyclists and walkers, with easy-to-ride grade 1 sections, grade 2 sections, and some grade 3 sections. The trail starts at the Nelson Airport or from Millers Acre in the Nelson CBD and offers panoramic coastal and mountain views over Tasman Bay, Waimea Estuary and the Western Ranges. Numerous towns and settlements lie on or near the trail, making it easy to get riding, with options for day rides or multi-day adventures. The trail is part of Nga Haerenga The New Zealand Cycle Trail.
